Tank You, God

I don’t know what your stresses are in life;
material things may seem inadequate,
your could be having health issues,
your job or business may seem unfulfilling.
But instead of looking at what you lack,
what you’ve missed,
what you’ve lost, and
who has left you;
what if you were able to say,
“God, thank You for what I do have.
Thank You for the circumstances that I have”

What if you looked
at the little that you had left
and said, “God, it’s still worthy
of my gratitude and my thanksgiving,
because I didn’t even have to have this
but You saw it fit to bless me with it.”

By saying, “Thank You, Lord,
for I may not have what I want,
but I have more than I deserve”,
you invite Him to participate in your affairs;
and with Him, He brings along hope,
joy, peace, forgiveness, redemption, healing,
power, strength, comfort, and
……, contentedness.

It may start like a little,
but when you thank God for it,
when God gets involved,
little becomes much.

I am an epic introvert, who quickly becomes an open book when I pen what’s in my significantly fertile mind; fertile as a result of bombardment by realities that are continuously captured by my inquisitive eyes, ears which are constantly rubbing the ground, through constant reading, and through dreaming too.

Writing provides an opportunity to ‘say’ what my unapologetic quiet mouth will not say; which not only soothes me, but also bequeaths to me a relief, a release, and a hope that the written words will change the world, even if only one person at a time.

And so should you seek, that’s where to find me; deeply tucked inside the blankets of reading, seeing, listening, dreaming, and then writing.
