Recent reports that, “Kenya’s rain was stuck in Tanzania” bring nostalgic memories of weather reports back when the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) was the only TV station in the country.

Unlike currently when they seem to have put their act together, many were the moments in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s when the weatherman would give ‘non-specific forecasts’, plunging many people into confusion.

The June of 2019 was extraordinarily cold in Nairobi, biting cold; which was been caused by thick clouds that most probably paraded all their wives, children, cousins and other relatives, with express instructions not to let any rays of the sun to penetrate.

The effect was the numbing of all exposed body organs and parts, including the brain; I guess.

Everybody was dressed like a bulb onion, in many layers of clothes. Eskimos were clearly evident on the streets of Nairobi
