That splendid woman who,
one step at a time,
left her world behind,
and chose to love, live,
laugh, weep, or in summary,
keep me company,
and tie her dreams to mine.

That outstanding woman who,
became my soulmate,
and has not allowed our love,
to scatter in the wind.

That awesome woman who,
continues to share with me,
life’s great, and not so great moments,
and refuses our dreams to fall apart,
against all odds.

That inspiring woman who,
builds our dreams back up again,
so that we can rise above it all,
and climb higher together,
one step at a time.

That magnificent woman who,
stands tall by my side,
in this crazy world.

With that woman:
we’ve shared each other’s dreams,
we’ve helped each other grow,
we’ve watched miracles unfold,
we’ve embraced each other’s differences,
and we’ve found each other’s strength.

With that woman,
we’ve been each other’s light
in times of sadness;
and we’ve lifted each other up,
in times of joy.

With that woman:
our lives complete each other;
and our hearts beat as one.

And now to that woman:
you’ve been a magnificent spouse
and an outstanding mother.
I loved you young,
I love you now;
and I’ll love you then,
as we continue to live our dream,
of growing old together,
while remaining young at heart,
exactly like at that time when,
I chose to tie my dreams to yours.

I am an epic introvert, who quickly becomes an open book when I pen what’s in my significantly fertile mind; fertile as a result of bombardment by realities that are continuously captured by my inquisitive eyes, ears which are constantly rubbing the ground, through constant reading, and through dreaming too.

Writing provides an opportunity to ‘say’ what my unapologetic quiet mouth will not say; which not only soothes me, but also bequeaths to me a relief, a release, and a hope that the written words will change the world, even if only one person at a time.

And so should you seek, that’s where to find me; deeply tucked inside the blankets of reading, seeing, listening, dreaming, and then writing.
